About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Chegg, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our cutting-edge web applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions across the entire stack.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement user interfaces and back-end systems using modern technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver innovative features and functionalities.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the web development space.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Angular.
  • Solid understanding of back-end development principles and experience with languages like Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for learning and a desire to continuously improve.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience in the education or technology industry.
